It's still an expensive fridge. We're not convinced that it offers enough extra value to justify the hefty premium over an equally capable and efficient fridge without the InstaView feature.

In our tests, we noticed that the InstaView refrigerator's door compartment was slightly warmer than the rest of the fridge, which suggests that it's not actually reducing cold-air-loss but simply providing an easy way to access the shelves inside.
What we liked was the clear organiser that was specifically designed for egg storage (although it could also be used for other items such as yogurts). It's nice to see the 24cm LED strip that is on both the fridge and freezer that glows when the InstaView doors are opened twice. This provides great visibility for quick retrieval of items.
Finally, this model is the only one to come with LG's exclusive Craft Ice system that produces stunning spheres of ice that are ideal for cocktails and whisky. These ice cubes have a smaller surface area than conventional ice, which means that they melt more slowly and chill drinks more thoroughly without dripping them with water.
